The phrase "Moving to the Cloud" is ubiquitous in sales and marketing. Sometimes it can be difficult to separate truth from reality when it comes to understanding the benefits and challenges of cloud. Attendees will learn what "cloud" really means, the types of services that can be utilized, and what they should be thinking about as they consider whether its right for their district.
My twenty years in the world of EdTech have taught me many lessons. One lesson sticks out above all the rest. No matter what you’re doing, there is someone else is doing it differently and possibly even better than you. Take a moment to think about how many times you’ve visited another district and thought to yourself, “That’s a smart way to solve a problem. I’m going to try that when I get back to my district!”. Once back in your home district, you develop a solution loosely based on what you observed.
This presentation embraces that concept. Attendees will see examples of applications, tools, and ideas that I have borrowed throughout my career in public education. We will discuss how each of the solutions presented has provided value to our district stakeholders. Participants can expect to leave with at least one new tool in their toolkit.

Using the TLE Seal Framework as a guide, Highland has improved policy and practice to become the first TLE Seal recipient school in Ohio.
