We will present the process and initial outcomes of a multi-year, multi-discipline project involving the student design, development, and production of ceramic tiles for an art installation on our campus. This will include the initial visioning and advocacy to our leadership teams. It will also include how we integrated the 3-D design and printing making process into the ceramic tile production process. Moreover, we will illustrate how we utilized cross-discipline relationships to leverage concepts from our math courses such as symmetry, bisection, shape, measurement, etc. to enrich and develop student designs. Lastly, we will share the resources our students used in design and implementation with our participants to take back to their schools and classrooms.
